ULSTER BANK LEAGUE DIVISION 1A
CLONTARF…………………………………………… 00
LANSDOWNE………………………………………. 35
Scorers – Lansdowne: T Farrell 2 tries, C Kelleher, B Moylett try each, S Deasy try, 2 cons, 2 pens.
LANSDOWNE’S magnificent form continued in Castle Avenue yesterday, when opening period tries from Scott Deasy, Tom Farrell and Cian Kelleher created the platform for a comprehensive 35-0 triumph over defending champions Clontarf.
‘Tarf had suffered a brace of injury setbacks just two minutes in, as winger Ariel Robles and flanker Adrian D’Arcy were both forced to leave the field.
With the sin-binning of second-row Tom Byrne reducing Clontarf to 14 players, Lansdowne were eager to take advantage, and when Ian Fitzpatrick was held up just shy of the line after 69 minutes of the action, Farrell was on hand to secure a bonus point for a rampant Lansdowne.
