TWO tries apiece from Matthew D’Arcy and Marcus O’Driscoll set the foundations for St Mary’s College as the Templeogue men secured a comprehensive 38-18 victory over reigning champions Lansdowne.
Lansdowne’s Willie Walsh scored a try early and Peter Dooley added a further score for Mike Ruddock‘s men before a trio of well-worked tries helped Mary’s towards a well-deserved 19-10 midway buffer.
Mary’s duo Colm McMahon and Robbie Hudson joined D’Arcy and O’Driscoll in crossing the opposition whitewash after the break before a consolation score from Cian Aherne for the Dublin 4 side.
