ELSEWHERE, tries in either half by wingers Max McFarland and Michael McGrath provided the inspiration at Templeville Road as Clontarf beat St Mary’s 25-6 to stay within touching distance of Old Belvedere in Division 1A of the All-Ireland League.

Two penalties from Gavin Dunne gave the hosts the lead, but McFarland hit back with a try. David Joyce added six points for ‘Tarf before McGrath and hooker Bryan Byrne added a pair of tries to seal it.
