ULSTER BANK LEAGUE DIVISION 1A
ST MARY’S COLLEGE 13 (M D’Arcy try, G Dunne 2 pens, 1 con)
CORK CONSTITUTION 22 (Penalty try, J Holland 3 pens, G Hurley 2 pens)
FIVE penalties from the boots of half-back pair Jonathan Holland and Gerry Hurley proved vital at Templeville Road as Cork Con recorded their sixth victory of the campaign.
Holland added an early penalty before converting a penalty try on 14 minutes.
Gavin Dunne slotted two penalties to get Mary’s on the board but Holland replied to give Con a seven-point half-time lead.
Holland then increased the lead to 10 but with 15 minutes remaining Matthew D’Arcy touched down for a converted try to give the hosts hope. However, two late penalties from scrum-half Gerry Hurley ensured Cork Con triumphed.
