Peamount push on after the break to extend their winning run in the league

Peamount United turned on the style in the second half at the Oscar Traynor Centre this afternoon to claim a 3-0 victory against Bohemians in the Women’s National League.
Scoreless at the break, the defending champions finally made the breakthrough courtesy of a Tiegan Ruddy goal on 65 minutes.
This was followed by quickfire finishes from substitute Eleanor Ryan-Doyle and Rebecca Watkins which ensures that – as well as preserving their 100% success rate three games into the season – the Newcastle club currently lead the way at the summit of the WNL table.
Following narrow triumphs at the expense of their predicted title rivals Wexford Youths and Shelbourne, Peamount were firm favourites to overcome their fellow Dubliners in the Coolock venue.
Sadhbh Doyle did have the ball in the Bohs net on 35 minutes, but her effort was ruled out for offside.
Although Megan Smyth-Lynch and Republic of Ireland international Aine O’Gorman also went close, the deadlock remained unbroken at the midway stage.
Having played out a 3-3 draw on home soil with Cork City last weekend, the Gypsies were determined to keep things tight in defence for the visit of the Greenogue women.
It was working well for the hosts, until Ruddy eventually broke their resistance with 25 minutes remaining.
This subsequently opened the floodgates and when Ryan-Doyle rattled the net seven minutes later, it effectively placed the outcome beyond doubt.
On most weeks, Peamount are relentless in their pursuit of goals.
There was no let-up from James O’Callaghan’s charges in the closing moments of this encounter either as striker Watkins also got her name on the scoresheet to make it a job well done for the three in-a-row chasing side.
Next up for Peamount is another away trip to Treaty United next Saturday afternoon.
