A goal early in the second half from Dublin minor hurler Oisin O Ruairc proved decisive as Colaiste Eoin eased through.

Four points from Conn O Ceallachain and one each from O Ruairc and goalkeeper Sean O Braonain (’45’) gave the Booterstown lads a five-point lead.

The south Kildare school did settle with three unanswered scores from Peter Howard, Ben McCormack (his second) and Cian McConnell, but a second ’45’ from O Braonain ensured the Dublin gaelscoil had three points to spare at the mid-way point (0-7 to 0-4).

Eoin were quicker out of the blocks after the restart to seal the win, with an O Ceallachain free added to by O Ruairc’s goal.
