Syls power way to victory
St Sylvester’s booked their place in the second round of the Dublin SFC with a comprehensive 3-14 to 0-5 win against St Anne’s at O’Toole Park on Saturday, writes Daire Walsh.
Goals from towering full-forward Jack Hazley and ace marksman Dylan Connolly establish a foothold in the contest for the Malahide outfit, who brought a commanding 2-6 to 0-1 lead into the second-half.
Three unanswered scores after the restart by Darragh Fulham offered a glimmer of hope to the Bohernabreena men, but with substitute Karl Archibald finding the Anne’s net during a final-quarter scoring blitz, Syls finished with 18 points to spare.
