NA FIANNA kick-started their campaign in fine style at O’Toole Park on Saturday evening.
A 1-4 scoring burst (including Jack Caffrey’s 1-1 salvo) helped Na Fianna to assert their authority in the first half. The deficit was just five (1-6 to 0-4) at the interval, but a second Na Fianna goal via sub Eoghan Neville from the second half’s opening attack left the southsiders reeling.
The final-quarter presented former Dublin supremo Paul Caffrey with an ideal opportunity to utilise his reserves and a third goal arrived from the prominent David Quinn.
